Interior Design Companies in Dubai: 7 Studios to Know in 2026

Seven Dubai interior design companies worth knowing in 2026, what each is known for, and how to choose the right studio for your home or business.

Dubai has hundreds of interior design companies, from global practices with studios on several continents to small teams that take on a handful of homes a year. The right choice depends less on who is biggest and more on whether a studio's focus matches your project.

This guide introduces seven companies with different strengths, so you can see the range of options before you start asking for proposals.

A note on this list: it was written by Intrio, and Intrio is included. To keep it fair, the studios are listed alphabetically rather than ranked, and each description is based on what the company publishes about itself. Every project is different, so speak to several studios before deciding.

How we chose these studios

We looked for companies that are established in Dubai, publish a clear portfolio of completed work and describe their services openly. We also chose studios with different specialisms, from hotels and restaurants to workplaces and private villas, because the best company for a restaurant is rarely the best one for a family home.

How to choose an interior design company in Dubai

Match the studio to your project type

A studio that excels at hotel lobbies may not be the right fit for a family villa, and a workplace specialist will think differently from a residential designer. Look for completed projects similar to yours in size, type and budget.

Decide whether you need design, fit-out or both

Some companies design only and leave construction to a separate contractor. Others design and build. A single team can make responsibility clearer, while separate firms can give you more choice. Our guide to fit-out vs renovation explains the difference in scope.

Look at how they present a design

Ask how you will see the design before work starts. Detailed drawings, material samples and 3D visualisations make it far easier to agree on decisions early, when changes cost the least.

Ask who you will work with day to day

In larger firms you may work mainly with a project team. In smaller studios you are more likely to deal directly with the lead designer. Both can work well, so ask who will be responsible for your project from start to finish.

Compare proposals like for like

When you request proposals, give every studio the same brief. Check that each one covers the same scope, finishes, approvals and timeline, rather than comparing the totals alone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose an interior designer in Dubai?

Start with studios that have completed projects similar to yours. Review their portfolios, ask how they present designs and manage the build, give each the same brief, and compare proposals on scope as well as price.

What is the difference between an interior designer and a fit-out company?

An interior designer decides how a space looks and works, including the layout, materials, lighting and furniture. A fit-out company carries out the construction. Some companies, including Intrio, offer both, so the design you approve is the one that gets built.

Should I choose a large firm or a boutique studio?

Large firms often suit big hospitality or commercial projects with many consultants. Boutique studios often suit homes and smaller commercial spaces, where close contact with the lead designer matters. The right choice depends on your project's size and how involved you want to be.

Do interior design companies in Dubai handle approvals?

Many design and fit-out companies help prepare drawings and manage approvals from building management and the relevant authority. Confirm what is included in each proposal, as responsibilities vary between companies.

Find the right fit

Each studio on this list has its own strengths. Shortlist two or three whose work matches your project, meet them, and choose the team you trust to understand how you want to live or work.
